Accessibility
How we try to make this website and our classes usable for as many people as possible.
Our aim
We want this site to be straightforward for everyone to use, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with a single clear heading structure on each page
- A “skip to content” link, and a visible focus outline on every interactive element
- Full keyboard operation, including the navigation menu and the cookie banner
- Text and button colours chosen to meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast on our off-white background
- Descriptive alternative text on photography, and decorative elements hidden from assistive technology
- Animation and the scrolling text band are disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion
- Layouts that reflow to a single column on small screens and remain usable at 200% zoom
In our classes
Modifications are offered throughout every class, and you are never expected to do a movement that doesn’t suit your body. If you have an access requirement, whether that’s hearing, vision, mobility, or anything else that would help us teach you well, email jesswickspilates@gmail.com before you book and we will plan around it.
Telling us about a problem
If you find something on this site difficult to use, please email jesswickspilates@gmail.com with the page and what happened. We will fix what we can and tell you how we have got on.
