Cookie Policy
What cookies this website uses, why, and how to change your choices at any time.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to remember things, for example that you have already made a cookie choice. Similar technologies such as pixels, local storage and tags work in comparable ways, and this policy covers all of them.
2. Your choice
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR, we may only set non-essential cookies with your consent. When you first visit this site, nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set. Non-essential cookies are loaded only after you accept them.
You can change your mind whenever you like: use the Cookie settings control at the bottom left of any page, or open your cookie settings now. Declining non-essential cookies will not stop you using the site or booking a class.
3. Categories we use
Strictly necessary, always on
Required for the website to work and to remember your cookie preference. These do not need consent and cannot be switched off.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
jwp_consent | Stores your cookie preferences so we don’t ask again on every page | 6 months |
Analytics, consent required
Helps us understand which pages and classes people look for, so we can improve the site. Data is aggregated and is not used to identify you. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
| Provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
Google Analytics (_ga, _gid) | Measures visits, pages viewed and general traffic sources | Up to 2 years |
Marketing, consent required
Allows advertising platforms to measure which adverts lead to enquiries and bookings, and to show you relevant class information on social media. If you decline, these tools are never loaded.
| Provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc) | Measures results from Instagram and Facebook adverts and supports audience targeting | Up to 3 months |
The analytics and marketing tools listed above are the ones we plan to use. They are only loaded once you have given consent, and this table is kept up to date as our tools change.
4. Third-party content
Some pages embed content from other services, for example fonts served by Google, video from YouTube, or Zoom links for online classes. Those providers may set their own cookies when their content loads, governed by their own policies.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a “do not track” signal. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of this site working as intended. Guidance for each major browser is available in its help pages.
6. More information
For how we handle personal information more generally, see our Privacy Policy. Any questions, email jesswickspilates@gmail.com.
