Private Classes

The most considered way to practise: taught 1:1, or with a handful of people you choose, in the privacy of your own home.

Private 1:1 Pilates class at home
1:1 Pilates session at home

Nothing goes deeper than 1:1

1:1 is the fullest version of what I teach, and the way I would choose to work with anyone serious about how they move. An hour with my full attention, in your own home, with nobody else in the room.

We work from where your body actually is. I can watch every repetition, adjust in real time, and build a programme that develops week by week rather than starting again each class. Old injuries, long-standing asymmetries, building strength after time away, or simply wanting to move well for a long time: these are the things that benefit most from close, individual attention.

Sessions are entirely private and unhurried, arranged around your diary rather than a timetable. I come to you, so there is no studio to travel to and no audience.

Two ways to work

Just you

1:1

My full attention for the whole hour, and a programme that builds over time. The right choice if you are working around an injury, returning to movement, preparing for something, or you want every minute shaped around your own goals.

Taught in your home, at a time that suits you.

Good to know

What to expect

  • You choose the focus, whether that’s core, strength, mobility or something gentler, and I build the session around it
  • 1:1 work builds as a progressive programme, developing from session to session
  • Mixed ability groups are easily accommodated, with modifications offered throughout
  • All small equipment supplied. Everyone brings their own mat
  • Enough floor space for one mat per person is all the room needs
  • A short client enrolment form before the first session, so I know about any injuries or goals
  • Fully qualified and insured, with a risk assessment available on request
Who it suits

Taught around your life, not a timetable

  • Anyone who wants a session shaped entirely around their own goals
  • Working around an injury, an asymmetry or a long stretch away from exercise
  • A standing weekly session arranged around your busy schedule
  • Friends who would rather practise together at home than work around a studio timetable
  • Family practising side by side, each at their own level
  • House guests, milestone birthdays and weekends away that want something more considered
Questions

Before you book

Why choose 1:1?

Because everything is built around you. My group classes are carefully taught and I love teaching them, but 1:1 lets me work to your body, your history and exactly what you want from it. The pace is yours, the programme develops with you, and every minute of the hour is spent on you.

Do we need any equipment?

You will need your own mat. Beyond that, I bring all the small equipment we use, including bands, balls and props, so there’s nothing else for you to arrange.

How far will you travel?

I’m happy to travel across Surrey and London. Tell me where you are and we’ll sort the rest.

What if we’re all different abilities?

That’s the norm in a small group, and it’s one of the advantages of keeping numbers low. With this few people I can give individual modifications in the moment, so everyone works at the right level in the same session.

Do I have to commit to a regular slot?

Not at all. Some clients keep a standing weekly session, others book whenever it suits them, picking up a session when they want one. Both work equally well.

Can sessions be taught online instead?

Yes. 1:1 and small group sessions can both be taught live on Zoom, which is useful when you’re travelling or the group isn’t in the same place.
